EMLINK: Selection process for the EMLINK Compact Acceleration Course is finalised

By the end of June 2024, eleven Georgian start-ups were selected for a short-term mobility programme in Belgium. This followed a highly competitive selection process that evaluated sectoral matchmaking potential between the two countries. The call for applications was announced in the framework of the “Strengthening the Partnership between Belgium and Georgia through the Temporary Mobility of Entrepreneurs (EMLINK)” project, implemented by ICMPD.

The EU Global Diaspora Facility celebrates 5 years of impactful diaspora-development

ICMPD opens a Ukrainian Consultation Centre in Düsseldorf

On 18 September 2025, ICMPD's Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia officially opened a new Ukrainian Consultation Centre (UCC) in Düsseldorf, Germany. The Centre was established within the framework of the Comprehensive Resilience Support for Displaced Persons from Ukraine (CORE-UA) project, funded by the (National) German AMIF Programme 2021-2027 and the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF).

Vienna Migration Conference marks a decade of dialogue shaping international migration policy

The Vienna Migration Conference (VMC) on 21-22 October 2025 hosted discussions on the role of international partnerships in managing sustainable migration, global efforts to attract skills and talent, ongoing progress and challenges in implementing EU reforms, and return and reintegration in diverse contexts. This year’s VMC gathered over 300 delegates from government, the private sector, academia and research, think tanks, international organisations, and civil society.
