Primary objective:

  • The primary objective is to increase the institutional, technical and operational cybersecurity capacities in the border management area, to protect Secure Border Management System against cyber threats, through supporting the General Security in the implementation of Secure Operations Centre as part of their Cybersecurity Strategy.

The project includes the 3 following components:

  • Component 1 - Institutional Development of GS/SOC
    • Specific objective: aims to create the bases for the new SOC within GS through development of basic operational procedures and activity regulating documents.
  • Component 2- Purchase and installation of the hardware and software or the new SOC:
    • Specific objective: aims to strengthen the effectiveness of the new SOC through provision of modern hardware equipment and software.
  • Component 3 - Capacity building of GS/SOC staff on cyber security:
    • Specific objective: aims to strengthen the capacity of the GS SOC to coordinate the implementation of the new GIS Strategic Plan.
