Summary
“Empowering the Border Management Capacity of the Presidency of Migration Management” Project aims to strengthen the Presidency of Migration Management’s (PMM) capacity by fostering enhanced coordination and efficiency in border management procedures across central and local levels.
The efforts in the Project are expected to strategically support the PMM’s effectiveness in border management addressing the multifaceted challenges posed by migration flows and border security concerns. Through comprehensive reviews, developing strategic roadmaps, and strengthening both central and local-level capacities, Türkiye is poised to significantly improve its border management capacity. By prioritising enhanced coordination, and efficient infrastructure establishment, Türkiye aims to streamline border management processes through a proactive approach to fostering secure borders, efficient procedures, and a rights-based approach.
Objectives
The Overall Objective of the Action is to strengthen the Presidency of Migration Management’s (PMM) capacity by fostering enhanced coordination and efficiency in border management procedures across central and local levels.
The expected Outcomes of the Action are:
- Outcome 1: A comprehensive review of the border management practices is conducted at all levels.
- Outcome 2: Technical and operational assistance is provided at the central level.
