Summary
“Enhancing the Border Management Capacity of the Presidency of Migration Management” Project aims to strengthen Türkiye's border management in line with the European Integrated Border Management (EIBM) standards.
The Project plans to provide operational and technical support to the Presidency of Migration Management (PMM) through various actions including but not limited to recommendations for legal and administrative reform on border management, the establishment of a Border Management Coordination Centre, capacity development activities for the central and local level staff in Western borders, provision of border management equipment support, border management activities at the Western borders, and support to the enhancement of international cooperation mechanisms on border management.
Objectives
The Overall Objective of the Action is to strengthen Türkiye’s border management in line with the European Integrated Border Management (EIBM) standards.
The Specific Objectives of the Action are:
- Specific Objective 1: To increase the capacity of the Presidency of Migration Management (PMM) to coordinate Türkiye’s national border management response.
- Specific Objective 2: To strengthen Türkiye’s operational border management capacity at the Western borders.
- Specific Objective 3: To enhance international cooperation mechanisms on border management.
