BOMCA 10 has launched a Call for applications for Central Asian CSOs to participate in the Boot Camp on the Project Management Cycle, set to take place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in May 2025. Applications are accepted until 4 April 2025.

The BOMCA 10 Boot Camp is a distinctive capacity-building training designed for civil society organisations (CSOs) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) engaged in areas linked to the migration and border management across Central Asia. The initiative, funded by the European Union (EU) through Component 4 of the BOMCA Programme, is implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). It seeks to enhance the project management capabilities of regional CSOs and NGOs, with a focus on improving living conditions in border areas.

In a nutshell

The Boot Camp, set to run from May 26 to 30 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, foresees an intensive five-day programme focused on equipping participants with essential skills in project design, implementation and evaluation. Led by experts, the event will offer a blend of practical training, mentorship and networking opportunities, fostering collaboration across Central Asia. This initiative underscores the commitment of EU, BOMCA 10 and ICMPD to strengthening civil society in the region. By the end of the training, participants will have refined project ideas, ready to make a lasting impact on local communities.

Why take part in Boot Camp?

For Central Asia’s CSOs working with vulnerable groups and border communities, the Boot Camp offers a vital opportunity to strengthen project management capabilities. Participants will have the chance to develop actionable project ideas tailored to their target groups, while refining their skills in project design, implementation and evaluation. Furthermore, it will serve as a platform for fostering cross-border collaborations, enhancing the impact on local communities.
