Summary
The project aims to contribute to combating irregular migration by supporting Serbia in enabling third-country nationals to return to their countries of origin in an effective, safe and dignified manner, and supporting their first steps towards effective reintegration in third countries (countries of origin). In 2021 and 2022, the Republic of Serbia recognised the need for a national programme for assisted voluntary return and reintegration (AVRR) and adopted the Law on "Establishment of the Program for Assisted Voluntary Return of Foreigners for the Period 2022-2025."
