The project "Improving Entrepreneurial Capacity for Sustaniable Socio-Economic Integration" (ENHANCER) is an EU-funded action, aimed at fostering opportunities for entrepreneurs by giving them access to national and global markets.
With a budget of 26.4M euros the project will enable Syrian migrants to launch their ideas or develop their business efforts. The launch of the project took place on 3 June 2020 with the participation of Head of the EU Delegation to Turkey, Ambassador Christian Berger, Çetin Ali Dönmez, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Industry and Technology and ICMPD General Manager Michael Spindelegger.
The opening event included two panels: `Supporting Integration Of SuTP’s Through Sustainable Socio-Economic Policy Framework in a Digitalizing World’ and ‘Supporting host communities and SuTPs through innovation and technology policies and frameworks for socio-economic integration ‘. In order to ensure efficient use of resources and the sustainability of the Project, the activities will target participants between ages of 18-44 and a 30% women’s quota will be applied. The areas which will be supported by the project are summarized as follows:
- Basic and technical skills development trainings for potential entrepreneurs
- Entrepreneurial matching and supply chains gathering for knowledge transfer and market access
- Matching with alternative financing (such as corporate social responsibility funds, crowdfunding, impact financing)
- Mentoring for potential and existing entrepreneurs
- Start-up grant support
- Grant supports to improve the services of local institutions
- Grant supports for the establishment of local entrepreneurship and common use centers
- Creating local marketing collaboration (collaborative marketing)
- Developing technical assistance and policy advice / framework to national and local institutions in the areas of managing migration-entrepreneurship and migration-economic development policy
- Policy, monitoring and suggestion development platform in national level
