On 20th of December, the European Union Delegation in Turkey hosted the signature ceremony of the contribution agreement for the ENHANCER Project (Enhancement of Entrepreneurship Capacities for Sustainable Socio-Economic Integration), under the European Union Facility for Refugees in Turkey II funds. This 4-year project marks one of the largest projects to be implemented by ICMPD, with a total budget of 26,358,336 EUR.
The signature ceremony was attended by the Head of the Delegation of the EU in Turkey, Ambassador Berger, Advisor to Vice-President Afşarata and ICMPD Western Balkans & Turkey Project Manager Pınar Yapanoğlu, as well as EU’s other implementing partners.During the Press Conference, Ambassador Berger said: "We are here to mark the EU's continuous commitment to support people in need together with the government officials and our implementing partners." The ENHANCER (Enhancement of Entrepreneurship Capacities for Sustainable Socio-Economic Integration) Project has been developed to provide a comprehensive, innovative and inclusive support with a strategic approach in order to contribute to the socio-economic inclusion of the "Syrians Under Temporary Protection" (SuTPs) to Turkish Citizens. The overall objective of the ENHANCER Project is to enhance the socio-economic inclusion of the SuTPs through improving employment and livelihood opportunities. The project starts in January 2020 and will be implemented within 48 months in different regions of Turkey.
