the Closing Speech of the Vienna Migration Conference delivered by the ICMPD Director General Spindelegger

From 23 to 24 October, the Vienna Migration Conference took place in Vienna, Austria. ICMPD's flagship conference took place for the second time and dealt with the theme "Migration Partnerships - Frameworks for safe, orderly and regular migration". 

On 17 October ICMPD Director General Michael Spindelegger opened the events season 2017-18 of the Global Strategy Forum in London with a key note speech. 

On 27 June the 4th Global Mayoral Forum On Human Mobility, Migration and Development took place in Berlin, Germany. ICMPD Director General shared some remarks at the opening of Session 3 "Working through multi-stakeholder partnerships to enhance the development impact of migration and forced displacement".

On 17 October 2016 ICMDP DG Michael Spindelleger held the opening speech at the Ludwig-Boltzman Institute on the historic dimension of migration in Austria.

ICMPD's Director General Mr Michael Spindelegger gave a speech on 05 September 2016 at the WKO (Wirtschaftskammer Österreich) Foreign Economy Forum. The Forum discussed topics around creating opportunities for entrepreneurs in developing countries.

ICMPD's Director General Mr Michael Spindelegger gave a speech on 30 June 2016 at the Crans Montana Forum on the occassion of their 27th Annual Session. The topic of the session was "The New Challenge of Migration is changing Our World."

On 23 June 2016 ICMPD's Director General gave a speech for the Fundamental Rights Forum in Vienna. Mr Spindelegger discussed the migration crisis as well as the question of how sustainable growth in migration can also be fundamental-rights compliant.
