Summary
Objective: The project sought, with a clear regional/trans-regional dimension, to further reduce all forms of trafficking in human beings (THB). The specific objectives were to provide a basis to form a clear picture of the extent of the problem, what has been done, what should be done and what can be done, covering:
1) Assessment of the situation on THB
2) Ongoing initiatives in the fight against THB
3) Results achieved so far
4) Lessons learned so far
5) Assessment of the existing gaps in the fight against THB.
The findings referred to above became the basis for an action fiche for the Annual Action Plan 2011 and for providing the technical elements for a pilot project.
