Summary
The proposed initiative aims to support the Presidency of Migration Management for facilitating emergency assistance to migrants and refugees living in the eleven provinces affected by the earthquake, focusing on providing support to temporary accommodation centres.
The initiative will focus on providing support to three key areas, which are both essential for the functioning of the migration management system of Türkiye and for addressing the urgent needs of migrants and refugees, and, more importantly, tackling any vulnerabilities through the provision of accommodation conditions for them.
In this regard, to provide support to the above-mentioned points, ICMPD targets the following three main components of this initiative:
- Support PMM to be able to conduct regular services
- Support emergency relief for the need of migrants, refugees and local community
- Providing complementary accommodation facilities for migrants and refugees
