The STREAMinG Project organised a study visit to Slovenia on visa and residence regulations to further strengthen the capacities of the Migration and Citizenship Unit of the Public Service Development Agency of Georgia, on 24-27 April 2023. The visit was funded by the EU and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
As part of their study visit to Slovenia, a delegation of officials from Georgia had the opportunity to visit an Administrative Unit in Domžale and observe the review process of the residence applications. During their visit to the administrative unit, the officials were able to observe how residence applications are reviewed and processed. They were given a tour of the facilities and were able to meet with staff members responsible for handling applications. The officials also had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with the staff members about their work, challenges faced, and best practices.
The visit was a valuable opportunity for the Georgian officials to learn about Slovenia's approach to managing migration as they gained a deeper understanding of the requirements and procedures involved in the residence and visa application processes.
