On June 5 2024, Türkiye’s National Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration Mechanism (NAVRR) Project, implemented by the Representation of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in Türkiye, organized a training and consultation session for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) as part of four strategic sessions on the understanding and involvement in Türkiye’s NAVRR Mechanism.

The NAVRR project is actively enhancing Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) understanding and involvement in Türkiye’s National Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (NAVRR) Mechanism. This initiative, aiming to extend the Mechanism’s outreach and influence, has organized four strategic sessions to foster NGO engagement.

To date, these sessions on National Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration have successfully engaged 59 participants from 31 NGOs, equipping them with crucial insights and guidance related to the NAVRR Mechanism.

The most recent training and consultation session took place on June 5, 2024, in Ankara, Türkiye. This session provided a comprehensive recap of earlier sessions with selected NGOs, identified as key potential collaborators. The programme featured experience sharing through NGO presentations, dissemination strategies for NAVRR information, case studies, and discussions on potential cooperation and contributions to the NAVRR Mechanism’s services.

Funded by Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, the NAVRR Project is committed to ongoing training activities for NGOs and municipalities, furthering its mission to support National Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration.
