The NAVRR Project implemented by ICMPD organised a capacity-building training for Türkiye's National Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (NAVRR) Mechanism’s National Stakeholders including the Presidency of Migration Management (PMM), the Provincial Directorates of Migration Management, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Turkish Red Crescent between the dates of 26-28 July 2023 in Bolu, Türkiye.
The training programme included pre-departure, return, post-arrival, and reintegration assistance delivery phases of the voluntary return operations, the legal framework of voluntary return in international and Turkish law, the current EU return and reintegration landscape, and the best practices from European countries. The national and international experts on the themes contributed to the training during which officials from the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI), Belgium’s FEDASIL, and GIZ in Pakistan shared their experiences on return and reintegration practices with the participants.
