Strengthening the Evidence Base for Migration Policies: A Central Migration Data Management Solution for Jordan (MIDAM)" project held its third Project Steering Group (PSG) meeting on March 22, 2021.
During the meeting, the Project Steering Group (PSG) discussed updates about the tender call which was published by ICMPD for installing the new Migration Data Solution for Government of Jordan. This newly required solution will include all infrastructure, IT hardware, software and relevant programming; it is exclusive for Jordanian national IT companies.
In addition to updating the PSG about the tender dates, publication, submission deadline, and contract signature, the meeting aimed at presenting MIDAM achievements to date and the upcoming activities, besides explaining the function of the Technical Evaluation Committee (TEC) that will be evaluating the tenders’ applications.
The PSG members discussed the criteria for selecting the winning vendor, and the qualifications of its staff members who will cover different fields of the new operational system. In addition to the guidelines of the tenders’ applications evaluation methodology and the agenda of the upcoming training workshops required after installing the migration data solution.
The meeting was conducted in the Ministry of Interior, and attended by the PSG members that includes senior representatives from the Jordanian Ministries of Interior, Planning, and Labor. In addition to the Public Security Department and the General Intelligence Department.
