Exchanges held with public, private and relavant stakeholders from Ghana, Kenya and Germany on partnership formulas.
From 17-21 April 2023, the Inspire project team was in Ghana and Kenya to organise two workshops on “Exploring models for skills partnership scheme” between Germany and the two respective countries and hold bilateral discussions with key stakeholders.
Attendees of both workshops included representatives from the public sector, educational institutions and prospective partners, who gained insights on the various existing models of skills partnerships from ICMPD and external experts. Participants discussed which model would best suit their respective countries, along with the potential opportunities and challenges that the implementation of these partnerships could bring.
The feedback received will play a vital role in the development of the two partnership schemes involving these two African countries and will be complemented by the upcoming national consultations.
Furthermore, the project team held bilateral meetings with other relevant stakeholders that could play a significant role in the partnership development and implementation, such as GIZ and AHK. Meeting with private companies also took place as part of the project’s continuous outreach and engagement process.
